There are also a number of benches kept at the place for people to sit and enjoy the view of the river. There is also the Ganga Arti (Worship of river Ganga) which takes place in the evenings and is a not to be missed sight when visiting the city. This is also the meeting place of the three sacred rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati which makes it most sacred spot for bathing in the holy water of the place.
There is also a large market area near the ghat where one can find all the major items like clothes, shoes, puja items, precious and semi-precious stone and a lot of other things.
According to the ancient texts this is the place where Lord Krishna had visited after being hit by an arrow and this place is believed to be the cremation ground of the Hindu God Krishna who was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
One can take the public transport that is a shared auto (Vikram) or book an Auto to reach the market area located near the ghat and then walk down the market area to reach The Ghat.
