Sitabani Temple, Jim Corbett National Park

The Sitabani Temple is located in the Kota range of the Corbett National Park at a distance of 20 kilometres from Ramnagar.

The Sitabani temple is dedicated to Sita who was the wife of Hindu Lord Rama and the female protagonist in the epic Ramayana. The temple is visited by many tourists who come to visit the Corbett national park. The place is located in a very good area.

History:
It is believed that at the ancient Valmiki temple which is located within the forest, Sita was absorbed by the earth. The Sitabani temple has its association with the Ramayana which is a Hindu epic where it is stated that Sita spent her days of exile during agnipariksha at the place.
