Sheshnetra is located on the opposite bank of river which is a large stone marked with one eye of the serpant Shresha on which Lord Vishnu reclines. It is believed that it is the shreshnetra that guards the holy shrine of Badrinath. This is considered as one of the most important site for devotees visiting Badrinath. There are two lakes and the river Alaknanda near the spot which give an amazing background to the place.
