Pangot and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary is located in the Nainital district of the state of Uttarakhand and situated at an altitude of 2528 mts. The Sanctuary is situated in the reserve forest of Nainital.
Kilbury Bird Sanctuary is surrounded by dense forest of oak, pine, and rhododendron and it is known for more than 580 species of birds, both migratory and local birds Brown Wood Owls, White-Throated, Laughing Thrushes, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Collared Grosbeaks, Spotted & Slaty-backed Forktails, Himalayan Griffon, Khalij pheasant etc, and animals like wild boars, leopard cats, red fox, barking deer and lots more. Other can bird watching, you can indulge in camping and trekking.
