Nakuleshwar consists of two words - Nakul and Eshwar. While God in hindi is called eshwar, while Nakul refers to Himalayas. The temple, built in Khajuraho architecture style has stone images of different Hindu Gods and Goddess.
Historically, it is believed that the temple was built by two pandavas Nakula and Sehadev.
The temple is located around 4km from Pithoragarh and 2km from the village Shilling.
