Kyunkaleshwar Mahadev Temple, Pauri

This Temple is constructed in 8th century A.D. and people worship Lord Shiva here. You can see a clear and crisp view of beautiful Himalayan peaks.

This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva which is only 3kms away from the main town. Places like Srinagar valley and other places in Pauri can be seen from here.  The temple’s architecture is similar to Kedarnath temple. The temple consists of prehistoric shrines of Lord Shiva, goddess Parvati, Ganesh, Kartikeya, Lord Ram, Sita  And Lakshman. It is believed that Aadi Shankaracharya on his way to the city builds this temple. In the temple Shivling and Nandi’s idol are placed with dhol there.

The Temple is at a distance of 9 kms. from Pauri and distance of 3.4 kms. from Pauri bus stand.
