Budher Caves are situated at an elevation of 2,590 metres above the water mark. The caves are located at a distance of 30 kilometres from Chakrata town.
Budher Caves are also known as Miola Caves as a German national named Miola discovered the caves.The caves are located in such a height that they offer an amazing view of the Himalayas. The 3 kilometres trek to the caves is highly difficult. The entreance to the caves in located at the meadow. The Miola Tibba is a panoramic green meadow providing a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. It is said that the extreme end of the caves is still unexplored as the trekking path is highly difficult.
It is believed that the Budher caves were built by the Pandavas at the time of the Mahabharatha and the caves are more than 150 kilometres in length. There is the Forest Research House at the place which was built in the year 1868 and then later renovated in the year 2008.
One can reach the base of the trek which is the Forest Guest House by a shared taxi and then trek the 3 kilometres distance.
