Bijrani Tourist Zone, Jim Corbett National Park

Bijrani Tourist Zone is located in the Jim Corbett national Park on the side where there is the Aamdanda Gate which is the entrance to this zone and is the gate located at a distance of 1 kilometre from the Ramnagar city. There is a buffer zone of 5 kilometres after the entrance which is to be crossed to reach the core zone. The timings for the jeep safari are:
In summers:
Morning: Entry-07:00 am Exit-10:00 am
Evening: Entry-2:00 pm Exit-05:30 pm
In winters:
Morning: Entry-06:00 am Exit-9:30 am
Evening: Entry-03:00 pm Exit-06:30 pm

Bijrani Zone is one of the six safari zones of Jim Corbett National Park. One has to get an entry permit to enter from the entrance on the Bijrani Zone side. Booking is done on first come first serve basis. One can also book the tickets online in a maximum of 45 days prior to the visit. This is one of the best zones to spot a tiger and for the elephant safari in Jim Corbett. There are about 600 species of birds and chances of spotting animals like Chital, sambar, hog deer, Bengal tigers and many other animals.
Accommodations are available in the nearby Hotels and Resorts locaed in the Dhikuli village which is just outside the Bijrani Zone. It is mandatory to take a guide in the jeep safari and a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children are allowed in a jeep along with the driver and the guide. Only 30 jeeps are permitted in this zone and almost all jeeps are pre-booked. There are two times for the safari, one in the morning and the other in the evening. 

How to Reach

One has to reach the Amanda Gate which is located at a distance of 1 kilometre from Rampur and from there visitors can start with the Safari to cross the buffer zone and reach Brijnani Tourist zone.
