Auli Artificial Lake is the most popular tourist destination in Auli. The man-made lake was developed by the government in order to create artificial snow for skiing at the time of low snowfall. The place is visited by a large number of tourists coming from all over the country. This lake is mostly frozen and provides an amazing scenic view of the Nanda Devi Mountains and Valley of Flowers is a sight not to be missed. The lake water feeds the snow guns which are placed along the ski slopes. It assists in providing good ski surface to help extend the ski season in Auli.
